Issues....

Okay, so when I was in elementary school, my mom was a single parent (because my dad is a pathetic loser and never paid child support) and always had to work. She never got to be the mom who brought cupcakes to school for school parties with her hair in rollers. My friends were all embarassed that their moms did that, but I always secretly wished my mom would show up at school with cupcakes, rollers and all. Anywhooooo, I feel the need to overdo some things when it comes to my kids....lets say for instance.....boxtops contests at school. When Jordan was in first grade...I dug through recycle dumpsters so she would win the contest...she did!

Well Kaden is having a contest so I dug out all of my boxtops I had been hording (and these don't even count the ones that Jan offered me from her good sale on granola bars..I am still kicking myself for not getting those during our summer visit)

This doesn't look like alot because a lot of them are the size of Jordan's pinky nail, but there were 87 boxtops here....that is a lot!

Jordan thinks I am pathetic and should not use my blog to vent my issues.
NObama `08 (that is from Jordan - she was going to say what she really said about my box top issue and ended up writing that)
After I sent these to school with Kaden I found like 10 more. But I am saving those for Jake's contest! I also get a lot of boxtops from my cereal obsession (Jordan has a few words to say about that too - my 100 boxes of cereal).....
Hmmm...maybe I do need counseling.......

They Won!!!

Oh my goodness! Robert Stuart won a football game (nope, no streaker this time) - I had the camera just in case ;). But, it was better. Jake's team beat the second best team in the league... I know what you are thinking, was I at the right game??? Yes, I have pictures to prove it. (He is the one by the ref.) Not only did Jake make the first tackle of the game....but he got an interception and our team scored a touchdown from that interception and won the game 20 to 12!

Here are the bruises to prove it.....

Way to take one for the team Jake.....

Trax's Birthday Party

(Me and Taylor at Trax's awesome party. ewww I look like an old lady.)

(Britt aka Heartbreaker and Taylor at Trax's party)
Well Saturday we went to Trax's Birthday Party. He turned 3. He is Brad's brothers youngest and he is adorable! He had a Thomas the Train party. Yes, with a real train. It was so fun for the kids. Even Kaden loved it.

My sister in law, Cori, always has the best parties. Don't believe me, here is the proof....

Britt on the train...

Birthday boy is in the front. He was having a blast.

More than we bargained for......

This is one post that you will be thankful there are NO pictures!!! Jake had a football game last night at Robert Stuart against Wood River (the worst team in the league and yes they lost to the worst team in the league) You think that would be the "hi-lite" of the game, losing to the worst team in the league AND being 0-3. No! The "hi-lite" of the game would be the streaker that ran the entire lenght of the football field, from goal post to goal post BUCK NAKED! Not only did he do that, but about the 40 yard line, he turned around and did a dance. Yes a naked man dance. NOT PRETTY! Brittany and Jordan are scarred for life! Luckily Kaden was at a soccer game and missed it.

I have to say that this is one time I did not regret forgetting my camera!

Thanks Danette for telling me how to get the pics in order, I think I figured it out!!

Also, these photos have not been 100% edited, they will look even better when they are finished.
Jake....

Alright, I am getting tired of blogging, and since I am in Park City I am going to get dressed and head to the Outlet Malls!!!!!!

I have family pictures, will post tomorrow!

Brad and I are in Park City for a credit conference. We looked at the family photos on Wednesday night and I haven't had time to post them. I am going to do that while brad is in his exciting credit conference!

We went to Tai Pan home decor store and we ran into Caroline King, our old neighbor from Twin Falls. Too funny!!!!!

Family Pictures...

We are getting them done tomorrow so stay tuned and I will post some after they get edited!
We are using Burbank Photography for two reasons:
A. They are the best around!!
B. Brittany works there and she is an amazing photographer.

They also have a blog. Here is a link to their website:

The Ghetto House!!!!

NOTE: The new house pic is first, I still can't figure out how to do the pictures in order. Is there a Blogging for Dummies book?

Okay,

For those of you that don't know. We unexpectedly sold our house last December and had to find a place to live in 3 weeks. We were waiting to try and bid on a forclosure house and did not want to get into a rental lease for 6 months to a year ........so we rented a house next to Brad's office....yes.....you guessed it......in the ghetto! Who knew Twin Falls had a ghetto.....but they do! And we lived there from December (we moved on Jordan's birthday, I am sure she will need counceling for that when she is older) to the end of April when Jon and Becky Powlus allowed us to buy their home after we stalked them on several occasions!

Well I downloaded the pictures off our camera recently and someone had taken pictures of the ghetto house. Probably Britt so she could turn us in to Child Protective Services....she is still bitter about having to live there.

So I thought I would post some pictures for your enjoyment. However the pictures don't do justice to the cat pee smell! To my children....I do apologize for making you live there, but I am sure you are much stronger for doing so since it didn't kill you ..........

And then finally, a picture of the new house, so those of you that don't know where we live now don't really call Child Protection Services on me! :)

Creepy Crawly Day....

Saturday I took Kaden and his cousin Cody to Creepy Crawly Day at the Herrett Museum at the CSI Campus. There was a lot of W/T there which surprised me because they weren't even giving away free beer!

After holding the snakes they spent like one hour in the gift shop trying to find something for $2.50 because that is all the cash I had. They came away with break your own dinosour dig balls. I don't even know what was in them, since Kaden didn't show me, probably just rocks. And that is $2.50 I could have spent on cream cheese danishes from Costco.

Jake had his first football game. I didn't get pictures because I had to leave early to take Kaden to soccer. I found that if I take a camera to kaden's game they get creamed, if I don't, they win. Go figure. Jake lost, so maybe I should take the camera........

Here are pictures of creepy crawly day and the soccer game where Kaden got trounced!!

Family PaRtY

Well we had a family party last night, Britt wanted to get together and play games with Jeff and the family.

Jeff Rencher: A guy Britt met at the fair. He is the son of Connie and Craig Rencher. He is very nice and got along splendidly with the entire Barnes clan. We ate, played games, visited. Stayed up too late.

This is my first try at uploading photos, who knows what this will look like....

Anyway, we had a great time!!!! As far as Britt and Jeff.....only time will tell.

Bad Mother.....

Well Kaden had his first soccer game yesterday. I am not a good picture taker. But this time I decided to take my camera so we could post the pictures on the blog. I told him he had to play good so I could get a good picture. Well...........he did good, he scored the only goal for the team and mom forgot the camera. At least he has another game on Saturday so maybe I will remember the camera then.

Go Kaden!
