Catch up!

After some thought (as to wether or not I wanted to continue my blog) I decided to at least catch up on a few things and then see how it goes. Here are some of the major happenings since my last post -which was forever ago!
*Britt and Derek broke up (I am not going to lie, it made me really, really, really sad!)
4th of July.
Jake's 14th Birthday.
*Quit working at the Times-News and and got a new job working at US Bank.
*My mother bought the house next door and we have been busy emptying out her old house and getting her moved -it's a process!
*We went on a mini-vacation to the BSU stadium and walked on the blue field!
*Kaden broke his arm in half at football practice.
*We got to go boating several times this summer!
*School started.
Those are the major items. I will post some pictures and talk about things more in detail.

Baseball, Cafe Rio, and Utah

After Kaden's first baseball game last week we decided to celebrate the win by going to Cafe Rio.
Isn't it cute.

Jordan ordering her enchilada style bean and rice burrito!

Kaden and McCoy waiting to go in. They just had shaved ice so his tongue is blue.
He is such a cute baseball player....and he is really good too.

The kids went to Utah (minus Kaden) last weekend to go to a Bee's baseball game and to hang out with Derek.
Derek and Britt at the game.

Gosh they are so cute together.

The score board.

The kids again.

Jordan and Britt with the Bee.

They also went shopping and to 3D movies AND to Red Robin.

(Nice smile Derek!)
Jordan and Jake at Red Robin.
(Jake is cranky when he's hungry.)
The end.

Jordan's Graduation Party!

Jordan graduated last month and we threw her a pretty fun party. I don't have any pictures of actual graduation because Britt took them with her fancy camera and hasn't given them to me yet, but here are some pictures of the barbecue!
*Although she isn't in many pictures, she was there and I think she even had a good time...she just hates being in pictures!*
The Bouncy Slide

Jordan and Riley!

Kaden and Jack enjoying the sumo suits. Wow, Jordan is in this pic.

It's officially summer!

We got to take the boat out for the first time this summer. It was a perfect day at Wilson Lake (except when the wind storm came rolling in)!
Britt invited Derek. Aren't they so cute?! We think so.

I think he has had more pictures taken of him in the last three weeks then he probably has his whole life. Sorry Derek!

Kaden invited his friend McKaden. He wasn't so sure he wanted to try the tube. This was his first time boating. But after a while he decided he liked it and now he is Kaden's new boating friend!

Maybe by the end of the summer McKaden will be doing tricks!

Brad and Jordan invited Tank, bad idea, he is so naughty. Jordan hates pictures, she was having a good time, she just never poses for the camera. Britt got all of the posing genes I guess.

Me and Britt enjoying the day.

Tank taking a swim.

A good time was had by all! Well I don't know if Derek had a good time or not, but the rest of us did.

Until next time!

A work in progress

Saturday was a big day! It started off with a little side walk chalk artistry.
Derek and Britt

Kaden drawing sweet car.

Derek concentrating.

Derek trying on the 3-D glasses. Hilarious!

Derek and Britt looking cute.

We had a patch of dirt in the back yard by the house, so we decided to put in a pond. Brad and Kaden (on the roof) started moving dirt and rocks.

Before the pond got going, some of the "kids" got in the pond and played in the mud.
Kaden!

Kaden, Britt and Derek getting muddy!

Gettin dirty is apparently funny.

Someone (not me) may have encouraged Derek to throw Brittany in the mud??!!

Okay, it was me. I did encourage Derek to throw her in the mud. She liked it though.
Jordan was sweet enough to spray them off when they were done.

Here is the pond getting started.

Here is the pond when we were done Saturday. We still have some landscaping around the pond, a fountain for the pond and other tasks to finish before its done. We are hoping to get it all done before Jordan's graduation party on saturday.

It sure looks better than a patch of dirt!
Then we drove to Jerome for a little Mexican food at El Sombrero. Yes it is worth the drive!
Brad and Jordan

Britt and Derek.

My foot. It is looking better! Friday morning I dropped a pair of pruning shears on it and cut it pretty bad.

After dinner we met up with Mary and her new boy, Jordan.

We played a few games and had some good laughs.
